Turns out, the brand engagement team has asked me to participate actively on social media. The funny thing is, I am actually kind of excited about it.
But then again, there are two big things that worry me.
First, the whole “demand depending entirely on the feedback from the audience” aspect. Let’s face it, the world of TikTok (and social media in general) is unpredictable. One moment, you are getting tons of likes and shares, and the next, you are lucky if anyone even notices you. The pressure to constantly produce content that resonates with an audience can be overwhelming. How do I stay relevant? Will the content be good enough? These are questions I keep asking myself.
Second, there is the fact that I like creating content—but only in writing. I have never done it for social media before. Sure, I have written blogs, but this is a whole new world. I am being asked to produce content that is not just for me, but for a larger audience. The thought of entertaining, educating, or even inspiring people is exhilarating—but also a little intimidating. What if the ideas do not land? What if the audience is not as into it as I am?
Yet, there is a silver lining here. Being asked to contribute to social media is not just a random request. It is a chance to be creative in a way I have never done before. And while there are a lot of fears, there is also potential for growth, new experiences, and even a bit of fun along the way.
So, am I about to become a TikToker? LOL
Stay tuned! Maybe you will catch me dancing, sharing tips, or just trying out something completely random. And who knows? Maybe I will even surprise myself with how well it all turns out.
Until next time,
Alma
